On an average day when I'm sitting here trying to make some art, most of the effort I expend is simply to make sure that I'm not emulating someone else. I don't do pieces in someone else's style, in fact, I usually don't even attempt to make pieces in a widely accepted style. That's part of the reason why you'll never find me drawing anime. My abstraction is insanely abstract, my poetry beats itself to death rather than become ordered, and my fractals look like Hubble telescope pictures while everyone else makes orderly, self-repeating ones. Other painters make breathtaking works of art, I take my paintings out into the yard and shoot them repeatedly before I can call them finished.
I don't know why I have this obsession with not following in anyone's footsteps.
Oh, I almost forgot, here's the UA journal icon
That will conclude my two cents for the day.

If I let you die that would be unfair
If I died, that would be stupid
To die is to be weak.
So live and be strong
